Practicing is Fun
With Spelling Success, kids hear their Mom or Dad's voice telling them the
spelling words from the computer. The program keeps track of correct and incorrect
answers and continues to prompt until each word in the list has been spelled correctly
3 times. Then the child gets a motivational prize which is chosen and supplied by the parent.
Success is Immediate
Each time a word is misspelled, the correct spelling is displayed for a few seconds.
This way, kids continue to learn even while the program is correcting them. Spelling
practice becomes something they look forward to because kids love using computers
and they know a prize awaits them when they practice their spelling list.
Spelling grades turn into A's
With Spelling Success kids can independently practice their word lists as often as
needed.
Unlike many other spelling programs, the child's motivation remains high because they are
successful and because of the prizes they receive for completing the practice sessions
(each word spelled correctly three times. The program also has a spelling test built in.
This "test" mode uses the same words as they had been practicing, but just gives them one
chance to spell each word. "Test" mode is a good gauge to show you and your child how they
will do on the upcoming school test.
